Soon, eGO will have a competitive team for dota 2. There will be a few teams, and i put together a survey that will be helpful for tryouts, regardless of who the captain is. For fair try outs, both teams have to be balanced by role, and this survey should help organize things a little bit before the first day of practice. whenever that is.

1. What is your time zone? When are you available to play?
2. What roles would you be interested in trying out for? (In order of preference) Example : Carry, support
3. Of those two roles, name 3 characters for each that you consider to be your best. Please explain how each characters skills contribute to their role.

1.) est. everyday thats not an event or Tuesday.
2.) Support (will learn other roles if needed)
3.) Lich(Freeze/slow, OP ult, Range haras) , dark seer(vortex, the ball that goes on minions that does damage to enemies close to it, and speed boost!) , Shadow Shaman(Stun, silence, range harass).

1. CST Weekends might be tough depending on work schedule. I usually work Fri-Mon at various times.
2. Support Semi Carry Long lane solo.
3. Windrunner, can do well with little farm letting her be played on the long lane and as a support. can be built semi carry if given farm. Crystal Maiden, Hard support, Root, Slow Mana Aura. Can play a lot of other heroes equally, tough to pick a third best one. (QoP, VS, Lich, BH,) Willing to learn whatever is needed.

I am PST, available through august all evenings and weekends, i can schedule times to play whenever if i know in advance.
I prefer to play initiator or ganker/nuker
Initiator: 1. ES: Anti pusher with Ulti, The Q to block and an amazing spam stun
2. Enigma: His ulti is top 3 in game imo, when combined with his E it is a 22% drain on max health, plus team damage
3. Sand king: Spam stun with Q, Ulti for mass damage initiation, not as much of an initiator as he is a team destroyer

Ganker/nuker
Great for denying carry's
1. BH, Bonus Gold to feed team, and his skills are all burst single target
2. Lina, can deny any melee hero farm, and gank so well, and soft carry until end game when carry is fed

1. MST. I am available to play between 7 and 11 on weekdays and between 2 and 2 on Fridays and Saturdays.

2. Support, Pusher

3. Support:

-Lich (Great at harassing, good slow/nuke, powerful ult if used correctly)

-Dazzle (Good slow/stun/tick, good team saving, underestimated but powerful ult if used well. He can also semi-carry and push.)

-Guardian Wisp (Good synergy with many heroes, very versatile ult)

-Ezalor... wait I mean what

Pusher:

-Nature's Prophet (Solid jungler, very mobile, can also semi-carry or support)

-Leshrac (Good stun, good AoE spells, can wreck a lane if left alone)

-Techies... @_@ haha

1. Central all day erryday
2. support, Jungle anything
3. Earthshaker is a great support disable because once his e is leveled he then has 3 good stuns and with proper items he is key to keeping the whole team alive in teamfights by using items such as mek, urn, drum, and pipe.
Next favorite would be dark seer solo hard lane, his surge can be used to sacrifice first creep wave so you can safely ion shell a creep of the second wave and farm under your tower. not to mention vacuum is great to combine with other abilities such as enigmas black hole and tides ravage.
Next favorite would be either Enchantress or Chen Jungle support.

1. CST, evenings and weekends
2. support and initiator
3. Lich - lane control, slow enemies, buff allies
Witch Doctor - stun, healing, high-damage ult
Omniknight - tank, repel magic, heal
Beastmaster - loooooong stun, passive ally buff, free ward
Night Stalker - disables, ganks well early
Sven - great stun, can scale into the late game

Beware, wall of text incoming.

1. Central, right now just about everytime, however once school starts, after school(around 3pm)
2. Carry, support
3. Carry: Morphling(3.5 escapes lets him farm and pick up kills aggressively early on), Phantom Lancer(Literally the one man army,Illusions cause chaos in teamfights, while dopplewalk lets him escape plenty of sticky situations), and Vengeful Spirit(What can I say, her ability to q+w people and auto them to death early game is kinda retarded and shes currently an amazing carry)

Support:Witch Docter(stuns and heal make for an excellent support), Lich(retarded earlygame damage helps you get your carry fed, oh and the deny is bullocks), Rubick(hes great for setting up kills for your carry, and his ultimate can be an amazing counter-initiate.)
