Mod Tools?

Ya I for one wish they would allow modding just for custom maps at least...thats what kept me into COD4 for so long was all the custom maps people made and lets not for get modding is what made COD what it is today!
 
Loved custom maps in bf1942, used to play omaha beach all the time. I even loved those random jumping maps from time to time (maybe on cod 1 can't remember). I hope this happens, at least after all the premium content is released and they have nothing more to offer or release to us.

i doubt we will see mod tools in the form of a map editor or creator due to the fact that DICE is releasing new maps with each expansion so to release a map editor before all the dlc is released doesnt make much sense. Now as far as a mod creation tool itself who knows, DICE said they wouldnt release one because of the complexity of the frostbite 2 engine but things can change. I would love mod tools because mods like project reality from BF2 were fun but were late in their coming so it didnt catch as big as it could have but who knows how long it could take to create a mod on the level of project reality with frostbite 2 if tools are released.

I am all for it, Mods make the game more interesting in some cases...but just have to wait n see
