Let The Games Begin!

1100978_laurel_wreath.jpg

Every four years, the city-states of ancient Greece, traditionally competitive and sometimes completely hostile toward one another, set aside their differences and engaged in athletic sport to demonstrate their superiority. This series of competitions was resurrected at the end of the nineteenth century between nation-states, again to showcase to the world their superiority over others. The motto of the modern Olympic Games is Citius, Altius, Fortius: Faster, Higher, Stronger (Harder and Better were not invited).

Now, the Games have come to the Team Fortress 2 Division. The TF2 Event Coordinators are proud to present the 2012 EdgeGamers Organization Team Fortress 2 Olympic Games, sponsored by Edge Game Servers!

From August 5 to August 11, a series of Olympic Game-themed competitive events will be hosted on the events server, 68.168.100.122:27015. The prizes are a secret for now, only because they're too good to tell you about just yet; let's just say the winner will be taking home more than a crown of laurels at the end of the Games.

Are you ready to go for the gold? Fill out this simple form and secure your place in the contest for glory!

Tuche (good luck)!

Here is the lineup of events for the week!

Sunday: boxing and fencing
Monday: Demoman jump, Soldier jump, Scout jump
Tuesday: volleyball
Wednesday: basketball
Thursday: archery
Friday: dodgeball
Saturday: soccer

Looks like fun! Look forward to playing with everyone!

I was like "OH yeah! This looks awesome!"

Then there was a super long and hard form, and I was still like "That's finally over, I can't wait for this to start!".

Then I saw the eligibility, and I was thinking "Maybe I don't want to participate so badly after all..." XD

Anyone know a place where I can practice Soccer and Volleyball?

Oh man! This sounds amazing, too bad I won't be attending.
Hope you guys have fun.

i love dodgeball. never played soccer before tho (in tf2 that is).

I might if my band schedule doesn't inter fear with it

Yes. Our division is so poor we had to recycle pigeons so we could get a mascot. He's not as good as Porkchop, but he'll do.
