Call of Duty stopped being great in my eyes when they stopped focusing on innovation and set their sights on money.....so right after CoD 4 pretty much. They have to bring some diversity and much needed game engine upgrades, the worst part playing with my brother on xbox was that the graphics were terrible compared to BF3. Black Ops 2 brings some diversity but how different will their multiplayer ever truly be when they are so insistent on yearly releases? The same for DICE and BF4, if they start going the CoD route but with a 3 year release timespan and just make it a BF3-2 then it will be a let down. BF4 imho needs to jump to BF2143 to bring in that diversity on the BF side and not make everyone despair over the release of another modern period shooter. Personally (I know this will never happen) I would love to see a star wars battlefield game on frostbite 2 or a warhammer 40k battlefield game. But if they bring out some nice mod tools maybe those mods from 2142 will pop up again with some support for frostbite 2.

I seriously think that Lucasarts has held back on Battlefront 3 because they're waiting either for the next-gen, or a technology/gameplay innovation that will make it something truly amazing (a.k.a Frostbite)
Well, either that, or they are very, very stupid. Everyone and their mom would buy Battlefront 3...

The amount of win that would be is on a scale that I can't even fathom. I highly doubt it would ever happen with THQ owning exclusive rights through Games Workshop to use their IP. Which they guard way too much for something that is in itself can be broken down to countless numbers of stolen ideas in sci fi. (No I'm not talking about Starcraft... WH40k was first but the general concepts and ideas were stolen from all walks of sci fi. Not that that its a bad thing as I love me some 40k just there over protection is a bit over the top.)
And even if THQ was able to get permission from DICE to use Frostbite to make such a wonderful game, regardless that's a tall order to accurately represent a 40k battlefield. I'd personally want the Tau (my personal favorite I still need to get some Piranhas for my army), Tyranid, Imperial Guard, The chaos equivalent of the IG. and then of course the space marines (but not those incredibly bland and boring Ultramarines that make me want to gouge my own eyes out every time I see them as the pain induced would be far more interesting) and their chaos equivalent. It's probably honestly too much for Frostbite 2 to handle as well as probably take up ungodly amounts of space unless you throw graphics out the window.
