I have yet to hear of such a device that has been created or maybe it is being created, but not much details are out about it. Heres my idea: people like to listen to streaming radio stations. There are plenty of them that broadcast audio files all over the world. Whether its rock, pop, rap, dance, etc, the music is being played over the internet waves all over the world. I always listen to the same station that just happens to be played from somewhere in Europe. They play mainly livesets of djs mixing trance & progressive from all over the world. They created their own app so you can listen to their music wherever you go & the app costs just $1.99. Well my device will let you listen to whatever station you want to listen to and it will have the latest wi-fi capabilities built in (as long as you're within reach of a wireless router). I am also planning on putting together a data plan in case you're not always near a wireless router.
Now the device will display the latest radio stations, but if a new station appears, I will create either a slide out keyboard or possible touch screen display keyboard so that you can type in the name of the station & the system will search for the station. Once it finds the station, it will ask if you want to add it to your favorites or just a 1 time listen in kind of thing.
Again, this is still a work in progress & im still working on fine tuning the details, but I would like to get people's voice on this. Do you think its a good idea or should be thrown away? I was just thinking about power. Im thinking about using just a standard wall socket plug, nothing too fancy. I may go usb on it, but there has to be enough interest to go that direction. Im sure the guys who created the usb technology will want some $$ for use of their technology to be built into it.
