Quakecon is coming up soon everyone. Anyone going? I know I am.

Quakecon is a gaming convention held in Dallas every year, which happens to be the place I live, if anyone is going we could meet up or something during the convention, bring our pcs and show those noobs at DoD:S how eGO plays =)

Here is the site if anyone is interested http://www.quakecon.org, registration for the bring your own pc starts on April 30th and it fills up pretty fast.

Man, is there anyone that lives nearby? Everyone is like AWESOME, to bad I live half the world away =P

Theres people that come from all around the world, some guy from Russia was there last year, people from Europe, Asia etc.

Some people have really crazy case mods as well, last years winner was a Optimus Prime computer, it was awesome

i've actually set my sights on going too the 2010 quakecon just cuz ive always wanted to go but live in ohio right now so its sorta takes some planning/money/and getting the days offa work for it but ill go one of these friggin years. hail id software everyone.. without them we wouldnt have gotten half-life (well possibly but not in the incarnation we have today)
 
i would like to go to one of these things see a lot of weird pics online i would enjoy seeing this in person :)
 
Its really awesome, there are lots of games and lots of booths from different companies.

You get a lot f free stuff as well, they also have a time when the give out free Bawls, as many as you want. You see people stuffing backpacks full of them and its funny because the people that server the are these waiters in suits
 
Im TOTALLY going to this... But only for one day cause I don't want to pay for a hotel. Do you think the first or last day would be best?
 
Well you could always just sleep in your car lol, I would probably say a middle day, because the first day everything is getting set up and people are coming in and the last day people are leaving and booths are getting taken down
