Newbish Question

So, while I am not new to TF2 I am just now starting to dive into the crafting/trading economics of this game. And I have a newbish question.

Can you craft the base class weapons? Like can you craft "Mini Gun" or "Scattergun" etc.

And renaming is when a player enters a custom name for a specific item by applying a name tag.

I don't believe you can which sucks but I can understand why they wouldn't allow you to do that.

The reason I asked is because I wanted to create the "Mini-gun" but name it the nickname of my girlfriend. You know....cause I am a loser like that.

If you craft something, you can't name it. The only way to name something is by applying a name tag. Now, the only way you could get one on a minigun is if it was strange, and strange miniguns cost about 3 keys right now (or 8 refined metal).

Not true. When you get a Name Tag and you decided to use it, there is a ticker at the top of your backpack that says "Show Stock Weapons", where you can name anyone of them, excluding the Disguise Kit and I believe the Destruction PDA.

I would just keep the weapons you don't like. its nice to look back at the huge collection you have later on.
