Thoughts From Legend: News Team Feedback

Obviously, you are taking some sort of time right now to read it, but do you enjoy the content posted on it? The News Team tries to mix up the material posted on the front page with a variety of different things. We include things such as eGO updates, events and important announcements. Additionally, miscellaneous items from the gaming community is featured from time-to-time. One thing I have never really asked is whether or not the user base of the website actually enjoys what they see posted. We want to try our best to keep you, a clan member, informed, but what do you want to see when you come to the front page? The News Team wants to put out the best news possible for eGO members to view and read, so give us some feedback on what we can improve on! I know I take every bit of criticism to heart and try to improve everything that I can, and I also know that the other news team members will do the same. So tell us! What do you want to see, and what can we do better?</div>

What would I like to see? More gaming news!
Otherwise you guys are doing perfect in my opinion on clan news although I'd like to see more gaming news in general especially news that is reletaive to the games that the clan plays, for example like trailer for a cod/bf. Maybe some leaked information on a minecraft patch or something along those lines!

I like it like it is......A newspaper uses the front page to grab you attention (sometimes by punching you in the eye). They use it to advertise what is inside. Well, our front page has just that....Table of contents, Upcoming events, shoutbox, donations, stats and links to posts.

Now, to get to your question....Do I like the posts.......Hells yea.:thumbup: I love seeing props to members (promotions/awards and kudos). This is the second contact (in-game or a friend is probably the first) any non-member has with EGO and if the valuable front page space is used, not for self-promotion or over-the-top requests for money, but rather recognizing members, it makes one have a good feeling/first impression for the organization.

The use of the front page to dissipate information relative to the entire membership is vital also (clan-wide meetings, major announcements).

I think the news team does a good job with what they are doing. idk if this is me or not but i think we could use more game promotion. Such as try to get more players to play other games eGO has to offer. Then again we need to get our members to check the forums more too haha

What I love about news team is the graphics, they graphics are very nice. It's not some boring looking blob mess, it's HQ graphics that make people actually want to read. So definitely, +1 on the graphics.

I also like the consistency, other communities might not have a front page news for weeks or months and I like how you guys keep people updated and have interesting news every other day or so. +1 on that.

I sometimes skip reading a newsletter article because there is simply too much. I think some people might like it but personally, I prefer short paragraphs where it's 3-4 lines and then another paragraph. For instance, I wasn't going to read this one because I just saw a blob of text. Just a thought but I personally don't like blobs of text, something where it's 3-4 lines, skip, 3-4 lines would be better.
