Unicode not working in TF2

Hey Tech Gurus

My unicode isn't working in TF2. I'm trying to get "ッ" to show up. As you can see, I can see it on Steam perfectly fine.

In-game though, I can't see it at all.

If it helps at all, I'm using the custom hud Garm3nHud, and using the TanLight version. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: In CS:GO, I can see it just fine.

For some odd reason, a blue screen seems to have fixed my text in TF2. No idea.
