Would anyone happen to know how long it takes for steam to update my inventory for me to get the black rose? I do NOT want to go through AVA again.

I don't recall, but I suggest you fully remove Game Guard, which will remain on your computer until deleted manually. Just uninstalling AVA won't remove it.

It was relatively quick for me. I closed AVA, then I ran TF2, and my Black Rose was there.

AVA isn't connecting to steam when I play it, thus not giving me the achieves. Help?

I log on AVA every month in hopes it updates and gives me the knife... it's been about 3 or 4 months now. Also the devs refuse to help so... looks like were SOL.

The knife looks awesome yes, but after trying to create an account for the game, finding out (through a third party source no less, not ijji's website) you have to link a facebook account to ijji in order to get access, the DRM bull they put on it... It just killed any and all hope of me ever obtaining one outside of a trade or crafting.

Hmm. I didn't use facebook, didn't have much hassle with DRM, and got the knife. I had a bit of trouble trying to get steam to acknowledge the achievement, but that was solved by opening the game from inside of steam. All in all I didn't have trouble, and soon went on the Spiral Knights.
