Left 4 Dead 2 Vs. CS:GO

Opinions Most Appreciated By People Who Own Or Have Played Both!

Ok so I wanna make this quick and right to the point. Currently I am debating on which game I want to purchase right now. Either Left 4 Dead 2 or CS:GO, I have heard both good things and bad things about these two titles. So instead of reading through threads for each game I decided to make a thread for you guys to just pick one, to help me make a better decision.

I do realize both of these titles are fairly cheap and you my ask, "why not just get both." Well for right now I want one or the other.

Please keep this thread civilized, without any arguing.

These are two completely different games. Buy L4D if you want zombie co-op, and buy CS:GO if you like modern-day shooters.

csgo will last you longer than l4d2 imo

Depends on who you play with and like everybody else has said, what your preference is on shooting games. I play l4d2 on an almost daily basis, because the people I hang out with enjoy it. I have CS:S (I know it's not CS:GO, but same category) and very seldom do I play that..all depends on who you play with and what you can have the most fun on IMO.

CS:GO because I'm biased.

Seriously though, wait a bit to get CS:GO since the server mods and updates need to be applied first. L4D2 has enough fun and people to last a while.

I dont play much L4D2 Anymore because it has become boring. In my opinion, get CS:GO. At least there will be new maps to play on. (Hopefully)

One thing I love about L4D2 is that they updated it with all the L4D maps and even a few new ones like Cold Stream. Tons of replay value there and if you have friends to play it with and enjoy it then you are set!

CS:GO is probably a lot like the Counterstrikes before it, and that isn't a bad thing. It is the shooter game that took off. If you like intense PvP it is probably the game to get. My budget is a little off right now but when it's back on and when there is a steam sale you can bet that I'll be getting CS:GO. (Already have L4D1 & 2)

Get CS:GO today ... $15. (It won't be on sale until christmas ... then probly 33% off)

Then get L4d series on frequent steam sale @ $5/game.

Imho, CS:GO is superior to L4D.
1. I'm completely biased because I'm in the CS division.
2. Competitive play has always been more interesting than co-op for me.
3. CS takes practice and skill to really master so it is more enticing.
