Rules:
Each vote cast will be comprised of three (3) picks for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place. 1st place picks will be awarded 3 points; 2nd place picks will get 2 points; 3rd place picks will get 1 point. The tag with the most points at the end of voting will be declared the winner.

1st: Niiro, love it, great blending/effects and making it trans really made it stand out.

2nd: Jin Basic but goes with the saying sometimes less is more, like the dark feeling and great element placement.

3rd: Sscarr, well rounded and even great job on placement also.

Ragman - Excellent lighting, blending, and placement of effects. The border doesn't really work in my opinion, but the depth of the tag manages to draw the eye away from the edges, which is nice. An all around excellent job.

Severend - It is a toss up between yours and sscarr's. While neither tag quite manages to capture that sense of depth or movement tags should, both entries do make good use of lighting and effects. What gives your tag the edge is the clear attempt at proper blending- though I feel the black boxed text all over the tag is a bit much.

Sscarr - Your render placement and lighting are good, however you need to work on blending. I've noticed that your tags tend to be a stock pasted on a background with maybe an outline; proper blending means working your focal into the background and making them seem like one image (take a look at Ragman's tag for an example). Overall, though, I think you did a good job.
