Sad fraps needs you to be an admin to be able to use it... ouch lol.

Fraps is something anyone can use and its a lot easier then using the source recording or at least in my opinion.

record demoname in console. Replace demoname with whatever you want the demo to be called. After the demo is done, you type stop in console. After that is done, you bounce back into the main menu then type startmovie and play the demo. There you go. Apparently .avi isn't supported anymore though.
