What's up everyone.

Ok. So lately I'm BORED with my games (L4D2, DoD:s, Skyrim )...

I've never played an MMORPG but I do enjoy RPG games.

Something about WoW has always completely turned me off as well as other MMO's but Guild Wars 2 looks like it will hold my interest.. I even like how the first one looked but decided not to get into it.

To anyone that has the game so far.. What do you think of it? Would you recommend it?

I know there are meny factors to consider in an MMO and I'm kind of a newbie at looking into these things.

Also - Is there a monthly subscription for Guild Wars 2?

Thanks to any that respond. - ill

I love it so far. Best bet is to watch some youtube video's. Tons of guides and reviews can be found there. Great graphics and by far the best combat I have seen in a MMO so far.

No monthly fees, but they do have a system to buy things with real money like most free to play games have.

Is the game based around those items you can buy with real money? Im interested in the game myself, but Im not sure about it. I've got tons of MMO experience but this is one I've never tried. Im actually kind of looking to get out of the Pay2Play stuff unless it really holds my interest. WoW is losing it and with Mist coming Im not sure Ill be staying for long.

Well the good news is that you can play for free on Guild Wars (that was announced quite a while ago) up to a certain level or time period. I also have an old a$$ code for a 14-day/10 hour trial that came with my GW Eye of the North (their latest expansion pack for the original GW game). Either or way, you dont have much to lose. Just go here for your free trial (no cc needed): http://www.guildwars.com/freetrial/

I personally remember giving up around 5 years of my pathetic life to this game (way before GW2 was even given the thought to start up).

Just a heads up. They took down the real money market to enhance player experiance overall and not let those that want to put down $100 a huge advantage. At least for a few months.

Hearing that says a lot of about this game. They are willing to reduce revenue to make players happy. You don't hear that from a MMO often.

That really goes to show how much they care bout their gamer base (unlike Blizzard).

To be clear it is not F2P like some games have gotten a bad name being. You have no level limit. If you don't want to spend more than just buying the game you will not have to worry about not having the same item drops or be stunted in your abilities. Mostly it is convenience items. Like more in game bank or inventory space. You can buy gold as well but all the actual game content is the same. No "real money only" dungeons or areas or anything like that.
