Yea I always see fingerprints on the sides and it annoys me .

Deathadder Black edition. Problem solved.

I used to have an MX518, then went to Naga, then to Roccat Kova+, Now i use both my Kova and an Intellimouse Explorer 3.0

I think the black edition still has the gloss on the sides. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, I use the standard and if there was a deathadder without the gloss I would buy it in an instant.

nope. Deathadder BE has rubberized grips on the side kinda like the Regular Deathadder has on the top.

I seem to love cheap mice, I have a microsoft optical mouse I've been using since my college days. It hasn't failed me yet, knock on wood.
