Saw this on mmo-champion a few hours ago. I would die a little inside if EA ever bought out Valve, because inevitably valve would end up dead if that happened. And origin is terrible. and takes forever to load. and i don't like it.

If this is even 10% true EA has officially blackballed themselves in my book. They've bought out a lot of companies I've loved in the past and left them smoldering ruins that would look right at home in Fallout 3, run popular/good game series' into the ground, and now this? Yeah sure, we believe you that Origin isn't going to compete with Steam EA, sure we do...

Well, despite it been years and the information hitting the public, Valve is obviously still around, as any 'partnerships' seem to end in inevitable termination with EA, anyway. Valve sees that, and why would they want that? Valve has yet to hit their full potential.

Anyway, I don't find this as much of a shock from either party.

Valve is just too big of a company now. Maybe Pre-Source days, but not now.
