First build opinions

My first time ever going to build a computer, did some in my pc class on old, old equipment but never expensive stuff. My biggest concern is rather the motherboard would be too small, or that everything would be packed too tightly.

Would that power supply be enough? I know the 6850 isn't that heavy on power. The only gaming i plan to do is Guildwars 2, WoW, CSS, CS:GO and maybe BF3 and the likes, I'm not really into the hardcore stuff though.

I would go with one of these combos instead. The top one is a shellshocker deal which will be over soon, so if you plan to buy soon, that would be a good option

Another decent combo that isn't a shellshocker so it should be around for longer.

Yeah, not a huge fan of the case either. But for the discount you get and some decent components that are close to the same price as the original stuff yet easily better, definitely can be overlooked.

Yeah, just bummed no matter what it all equals $700 or tad over because of the Windows 7 oem and or Hard drive

There's other ways of getting windows 7, and you can also use an older hard drive granted it isn't too old

I might consider a deal on a 128gb ssd then used in conjunction with the hdd. Unless you need more space, an ssd is a huge upgrade over a mechanical drive bottleneck. I've seen some good deals of late on the samsung 830, crucial m4, and vertex 4 for around $80.

Ya ill have 2 look into those ssd deals once I get my cpu, mobo & memory ordered (those take priority).

Yeah the only games ill more then likely play are WoW, GW2 and possibly only CS:GO, ill use my ps3 for the rest

raidmax cases are quite bad. I would look into a cheaper lian li, a cooler master, corsair, and bitfenix

EDIT: I see you actually have a CM Storm Enforcer on the list. I apologize for not reading further than the first post. I have built a PC with this case and it is great. Very roomy, good airflow, nice cable management and most of all it looks super cool.

As for the gpu as rapture mentioned, you can find some better deals on a gtx 560 or 6870. Here is a current 560 deal that is the same price before rebate and actually $20 cheaper AR:

In the games you listed, the 560 will be better in source games (though both cards will easily pull playable fps) and BF3 (though that doesn't seem like a top priority). Guild wars 2, the 2 cards are about even:

Hope this helps, but you can definitely find a better deal on a gpu. Really depends on when you are buying though as deals obviously won't be around forever though new ones are continually popping up.

Question i looked up my computers Harddrive and it's a 320gig 7200 rpm SATA i think, its like 5-6 years old lol, would that work or go with the new parts of today?

With it being that old, it is a little worrisome. I mean, if you have an external hdd where you can back up your files occasionally, then I say it is fine (I would get an external hdd anyways for backup), but if you don't, it might be worthwhile to simply get a new hdd. You can obviously use the old one till it dies, but you might not know when that will happen.

As for ssd, waiting for a deal on the OCZ vertex 4, crucial m4, or samsung 830 is best. Older OCZ drives have a sandforce controller which is unreliable as do most other ssds I didn't mention. Best to avoid them. The drives I recommended have all be on sale for $80 or less, but they don't come with rebates as well since they are quality drives. Still a steal at sale prices though.
