I've never heard of it. Is there somewhere we can find out more info about it? I'm guessing it shouldn't happen based on the replies of people who know what it is, but I am still curious about what it is.

I only really play minecraft factions (I personally co-own a 32 slot Factions server which we are in the process of converting into a tekkit Factions server)

But I think the friendly no griefing, seldom PVP spirit of the eGO minecraft server would be ruined with Factions as it is hard to differentiate between griefing and raiding (I know this from an admin perspective on my own server when this situation has come up)

So this leads me to believe that it just wouldn't work on the type of server that I think eGO likes to run..

That nicely sums up my feelings also. It's an amazing mod, but as a replacement for the current eGO server, I don't think it could ever work.
As a separate server on the other hand, I think you might have something, but I'm not sure the council really want to invest in a second MC server
