To much Ego?

I Was curious Does Ego are Tag really describe us? Like If you think about it we arent that egotistical. We are pratticaly mature , i asume were the most mature clan in like i dont know anywhere on steam we dont approve profanity and we kinda go hard ball with that stuff. i havent seen one ego smack talk witch is great But dont you think that contradic's the name a bit lol?

For instance I am a brony (the mature kind) and Alot Of just are like you mature we dont swear we just throw a Complament at the negative person or i just calm down the situation with my sexy voice ;). I just dont understand How on earth Did we get such a great clan but such a condridicting Tag? i dont know if im the first one to bring this up But im sure i wont be the last.

i know but why are called edge gamers excatly but were not that edgie if u think about it
 
Whoever thinks the tag is for being "egotistical" is wrong, if you find someone who tells you that correct him or if he trolls you with that ;)
 
I've seeiously never thought of it that way. To me, having this tag says I'm in EGO.
 
I always thought they would rank you on your literal ego but then I figured it out it stood for edgegamers organization
 
Actually 'ego' isn't short for egotistical, it's one of the 3 parts of the human psyche according to Freud. It's the part that acts as a filter for the id so you don't go around acting solely according to your baser instincts (feeding, reproducing, etc) in a self-destructive way, instead following them but with more restraint.

I learned about that and/or the super ego from a book. :D


Anyway, while the tag may seem contradicting, I think it's nice. Ever noticed how round it is? (If you look at each letter individually.) I wonder if that's why we don't capitalize the e, for a sort of aesthetics purpose.
 
having the tag makes me proud i love representing my clan and everything they have worked for to become what they are and i have never once doubted them

I read that as well. it's pretty interesting

and yeah! we are just AWESOME.. wear the tag with pride you eGO!!!
 
I like wearing this tag. It gives me a sense of community, knowing that I wear this with many other people that enjoy being part of a gaming community as great as this.

Took psych for a semester in high school and liked it quite a lot. Except for the whole "write a report every freaking week on one of two psychologists chosen for the week" part... One of my papers was on Freud, and the fact that he saw pretty much everything as some kind of phallic and/or sexual symbolism... :blink:
 
I believe Artimus or another founding council member skate/snow boarded so that's where the "Edge" part in, the rest is self explanatory.
 
let ppl think wat they want it what u think an i think an every person in this organization thinks an want to make out of there time with eGO u have your ups u have your downs but i think an many more think the pros out way the cons so enjoy it an forget wat other player think bout eGO ;)
