Headset Problem.

I have the steel series Siberia v2 and the problem began to occur two nights ago. Whenever I touch or move the cord of the headset, my microphone buzzes horribly, to the point no one can understand me. Also, there is a very brief and quiet audio buzz some times as well. If I sit perfectly still, not moving the cord, the microphone sounds perfect and so does the audio. I guess the line is dieing? I would hate to throw out $90 headsets, so I was wondering if some one here might have some ideas.

Edit: The same problem can be replicated using other computers, so it is definitely the headset causing the issue.

If you've had them less than a year you can send them in under warranty. If they're not under warranty, contacting them will still help in most cases. IE they may be able to repair for a fee or something such as that.

^Other than the above, sounds like a pin or something is lose that connects the wiring to the headset. Have a similar problem with a cable that connects my moms' laptop to the TV - have to hold it in a specific way to get the image to display..ended up just stickin a rock underneath it that was the right size. >.<

If you can't use your warranty you can try and fix it yourself.
If it's a loose connection in the wire you can try to isolate it by wiggling the wire around. Usually a loose connection occurs around the sound controller, if this is the case you can cut off the controller and solder the wires back together. Naturally this is last resort solution, I've done it before and it gave my headset an extra 6 months.
