I think some of these maps you're talking about are still on the server, just out of rotation. Maybe if there's CS Leadership present in the server, if you ask them nicely, they may change it to an older map if it benefits the server.

I think its funny. When we had the old maps, we constantly complained about their bad textures, broken functions, and lack of variety of stuff to do on it. Then some mapper kindly took the time to update it to please us, and now we complain we want it back?

I think we should just leave the oldies for jail nights.

Welcome to the human race, where new is too bad and old is bad. most people don't like change because they settled on something they like, or hate. Honestly i loved the old cryptic fortress just because of its simplicity and wouldn't want it to be updated. But because of change it will probably be update (or never put back on) due to its oldness. for example the zombie server, even though it was really popular for the first 3 weeks, it crashed and fell to the ground. not many people bothered to even try to fill it except for a few. If we had people to help fill a server or map regularly then it would be full regularly.

I never complained about older maps and many times updates take things you loved and appreciated about the maps away so it's not the same experience when playing. We should share these past great times with our newer eGO jail players by bringing this map back! Leoben was brought back and its pretty damn popular, and I am not saying I dislike every new map but I enjoy the classics from time to time.

No. The current rotation of maps is fine. The mentioned maps were removed due to problems, complaints or bugs.
