What do you guys think, this will NOT be changed hopefully if I get the parts in time cause im buying periodically when i get the money starting with the mobo.
(Also, the BF3 that comes with the graphics card i will not sell, Im giving it to someone)
The PSU is modular so I can get good airflow through the case without a bunch of unused wires. Also the tuneup utility will come free with windows 7

$50 more than the parts you listed, but a cpu that will completely obliterate the one you have picked out. Additionally, the psu is a well rated one by experts, much better than that mediocre at best visiontek. It also is modular as well which is good.

As for ssd, go with the 128gb crucial m4, samsung 830, or vertex 4. All have been on sale within the last month at $80 or less. Wait for a deal on one. Agility 4 seems to have a high failure rate according to customer reviews. The other drives will be faster as well.

For video card, you are going to want the 7850 or gtx 660:

I strongly suggest switching to the Intel platform. If you can't afford Ivy bridge get a cheap 2500/k. K, if you want to overclock, otherwise don't bother getting the K.

The entire AM3+ platform was a joke.

1. That RAM is awful. It is so slow, it will bottleneck you. No matter what brand you are getting, I'd recommend at least 1600 MHz. Personally, I'd go with G.Skill Ripjaw Series 8GB.

2. Upgrade CPU to at least this, if not this. The 2500K is perfect for gaming, and can overclock like nobody's biz. The 3570K is essentially the Ivy Bridge equivalent of the 2500K, is lower wattage, and is better optimized for Z77.

That ram is bad, and go atleast 2500k

I own the HGC 620w, it's trash, Antec's worst PSU... The fan makes a ticking noise and recently just shuts down after 6 months of use... The PSU will literally stop working for 5 minutes... all the lights on my mobo will shut off and everything...

and im not the only one with the ticking problem either...

Sephiroth, that is a decent build. However, while topping the OPs for sure, it does it while being a bit more expensive. The combo deal I recommended is about as good as you can get component wise including a 3570k which is a big upgrade over the i5-2400, yet manages to come out $30 cheaper before rebate or $50 AR relative to your build components. While the case is nothing to get too excited over, it is still a good option for the price with decent cooling. 7870 is a decent option assuming the OP has a bit more money to extend his budget. If not, the gtx 660 would be the next best option followed by the 7850 as I said (which are closer in line to his original build price).
 
I would recommend buying all the parts at once. There is no reason to buy one at a time. Say something happens and you have a mobo and a hard drive already bought?
I think huckle's build is the best by leaps and bounds. The 3570k is way better than the 2400.

I have you at 1k with the gtx 660, the combo I posted, the hdd I posted, and a deal for a 128gb ssd at $80 when it pops up. And it will be much better than your original planned build.
