Who's going to play Borderlands 2?

Hey guys,

Borderlands 2 releases this coming Tuesday and I'm excited as hell to play it. A while back Sumac, Megs, and I rekindled or introduced a lot of people to the original Borderlands. Although we got a lot of people to play I don't think as many people will be picking up BL2. I think BL is the most fun when playing in a group making it important to find other people who bought and are going to play BL2.

I'd like to know a few things and get a basic idea of who will be playing. Hopefully these questions will make it easier to form a group together.


Feel free to discuss anything and everything about BL2 but I'd appreciate it if you would all answer the following questions only if you have pre-purchased the game:



Will you be playing BL2 immediately on release and the following days (Tuesday to Sunday-ish)?

What class will you be playing as?

Do you have three other dedicated players to play with?

Are you interested in grouping up with eGO members?

Thanks guys, I hope to play with some of you in the near future. If you have not bought it yet, it's not too late. There are numerous advantages and savings if you pre-purchase before its release on Tuesday.

I've been looking forward to it for awhile, in a pre-purchased 4 pack and can't wait for it.

Will you be playing BL2 immediately on release and the following days (Tuesday to Sunday-ish)? I'd like to on Tuesday, but I'll probably be doing homework, so maybe Wednesday and beyond (depending if we all get on at the same time). Probably gonna record a playthrough, and livestream when I'm, playing with others.

What class will you be playing as? Zer0 on the recorded playthrough, wanted to play as him since I saw his name (Zer0, Zero711, see the connection? :P ). Otherwise probably gonna give Axton and the Mechromancer a try.

Do you have three other dedicated players to play with? For recording, xosniper, Whisker Biscuit, and a friend of mine. Otherwise, I will just play with friends

Played the first BL to completion multiple times - loved it and the DLC was great too. Hated the GameSpy though - that BL2 is using SteamWorks makes me giddy. I kinda wish they had let us carry our characters over (and my collection of Pearl weapons).

I will be getting it for the xbox 360. Sorry folks a lot of my RL friends will also be getting it and this will be the best way for many of us to play.

I plan on going to the midnight release (I am getting to old to be doing this silliness) and playing it a bit that morning. Beyond that, I'm not sure when I will be playing it next as I am moving.

If any other eGO are getting it for 360 and looking for someone to play it with, let me know and I'll send you my gamertag. I have no idea what class I'll be using (probably Miya initially) and I do use a microphone.

No idea which of my friends will be available right after launch to play it, so I'm pretty sure my party is open.

I pre-ordered it and will be playing either as the Gunzerker or the Assassin. I don't have anyone else to play with so hit me up :)

Yeah Ill be playing at midnite, but i have a spotty schedule due to classes, but I'm free on the weekends.

What class will you be playing as? I haven't really looked into the game at all, avoiding spoiling the surprise of the game and all that. Probably something support-ish if there is such a class.

Do you have three other dedicated players to play with? Sadly, no. Most of my friends are getting it for a console.

Are you interested in grouping up with eGO members? Yes, yes and more yes. I got sick of playing with random ninja-looters in BL1. People that would open a chest and just spam the loot key without looking. I want to have fun and still get some drops without having to be a ninja myself.

Is there any interest in setting up a BL2 eGO group so we can find people to play with? Not everyone playing it is going to be in OP:X, after all. My friends list is getting giant having to add eGO people every time I play some new game.

I'm getting it for the Xbox 360 for right now I cannot wait for this bad boy. I might get the PC version around Christmas time even though I will be way behind everyone else.

2) And follow these directions provided by jv8 at Borderlands 2 forums
