CS:S Gun Game Server

Hey just wondering but does anyone else out there think we need a Gun Game server? I personally think its pretty fun, if you've never played a Gun Game before then you don't know what your missing. Trust me its super fun try it sometime. So with that being said Discuss any and all things Gun Game related and feel free to leave you answer to the above question.

I like gun game, but for a server.. I don't think it would go to well for us starting one up. But use the dropbox if you want to try and get one

From what I have heard this has been brought up a lot and hasn't gotten much support.

I am up for having a gun game server as long as people actually play it and not let it sit to die.

I voted no and here's why:
There will be no support/interested in a month. We have had a zombie mod server multiple times in the past, and even some others types of servers, but we lacked support just after three weeks. It's not fair to leadership that we always try to ask for servers, and when they give you the server, you all just leave the server empty. I would normally tell someone to dropbox this kind of request, but I really do not see this becoming a server because, like I have already mentioned, we will not have enough support for it and leadership already knows.

but the thing is we always shoot down a server idea because of the zombie server. It could be an amazing server but we shut it down because we think it will be like the zombie server.

The problem with this is that gun game servers are 'connect and go' and mostly people just looking for a quick game. It would be very difficult to maintain rules like this. The server would either be completely full or completely empty at times due to the matchmaking-thingymajigger, which would make it hard to place admins on. Most people don't stay on for extended periods of time either. Like I mentioned before its a connect-and-go type of game especially with matchmaking.

The game becomes so fast paced and confusing that even deathmatch looks more organized, have you played on one of our events? It always ends up one or two people dominating, and frankly i don't see that being fun without playing with people that i'm familiar with.

Thanks guy, for the support and to all of you who don't like the idea or think it will flop you just need to give it a chance. I mean its a game win or lose you should be glad your having fun with friends and other members of this community. If nothing else start one as an experiment with a low number of max players and she where it goes from there. If it flops then I will take full responsibility of it and you can kick me out of this clan and/or punish me how ever you see fit.

We would never kick someone out of the community over a flopped server. If we did decide to bring up another server, we would be under the impression that it could actually support itself and stay filled, rather than letting it's fate rest in the hands of a single member.

We had a gun-game server just a couple weeks ago in CS:GO, it was empty 24/7. That pretty much sums it up for this issue.

Lol, you guys keep suggesting server ideas, but when they are added, no one is ever on them. I.e: CS:GO Jail.

The funny thing is its the people that suggest the servers that seem to never want to fill them.

Ok first off this is for source not go. Second I'm new so I was not aware of the previous attempts that seem to have failed. As for being online I log on everyday and I'll gladly join a server to fill it.

We have also tried gun-game in source, it was equally as unsuccessful, as several others have mentioned. I know you would like to see this happen, we just can't justify adding a server of this type with the lack of community support for it that we have seen in the past. Thanks for the suggestion. Next time try using the Drop Box for server suggestions.
