Hey guys; I know when I gave my introduction i mentioned my mother having stage 4 colon cancer which was terminal or atleast i don't remember if I said she was terminal. As of lately the past 2-3 nights i have been limited on my ability to play CS:S or get on Vent. I am not stating or saying that i am going to be inactive because i'll still be here on the forums constantly checking, and doing posts. Just I won't be able to play on CS:S very much or long if I am in the ICU.
As of 9/11/2012 my mother went in to get surgery done on remember 2 of the 3 operable tumors in her brain. After the surgery was a success though she had a brain seizure which made her cease breathing on her own so they intubated her. On 9/15/2012 she was removed from intubation, and was awake, talking and joking around with us (family). Not shortly after that about 2-3 days later (9/18/2012-9/19/2012) she spiked a fever of around 102+, her blood pressure dropped drastic to 75/35, and her heart beat was erratic. 9/20/2012 she went into respiratory arrest, and was intubated again. They found one of the sites of the surgery was infected and opened her back up this morning (9/22/2012) cleaning out the infection, but she is still non-responsive,and not waking up even after sedation has worn well off. We are still at a loss as to why things are not improving, and they seem like it just keeps getting worse. I have high hopes as much as i reasonably can that my mother is a fighter, and has fought this for as long as she has that she will pull through. At the same time i must be realistic and accepting of the fact if they just keep going down hill that i might be absent for a short time period.
You guys have made me feel extremely welcomed when i first came here, and i consider you all family. So I feel that feeling such I should also inform you guys what all is going on in my life as of yet. I am not asking to be put on inactive, but rather just informing everyone as i would any other family member in my own family. =) I will do my best to remain as active as I can, and if at any point in time i am absent for more than a couple days you will understand why.
