Nice choice in brand (I'm a huge fan of ASRock's mobos in general), but I'm not sure if there's a real reason to go back to a relatively outdated chipset like the P67 when there's better, more current-generation contenders for gaming rigs. I'm assuming we're talking gaming here in this sort of budget range ($100-$150)?
If you ask me, the clear-cut choice here is the Z77 as it has pretty much every feature you'd want from a P67 but has some other sweet additions too. Though they're both fantastic boards from a reputable, solid brand, the Z77 board is a bit cheaper and offers
a much stronger, superior price to performance ratio over the P67.
You could also look into a
good Z68 mobo over a Z77 if you're using a Sandy Bridge CPU and never intend to upgrade to Ivy -- the biggest benefit to the Z77 over the Z68 are its inherent features such as native USB 3.0 and native PCIe 3.0; both chipsets, if I'm not mistaken, tote Virtu MVP and support CPU overclocking very well.
As the Z77 was specifically built around Ivy CPUs, they're the only kind of processor that will naturally benefit from these inherent features (but you can still socket Sandy Bridge processors, of course!). I wouldn't let that stop you from buying a Z77 board though.
