Hey all,
I just built myself an OP-ish computer (3.5 i7, GeForce GTX 670, 16GB 1600MHz RAM), and got an OP screen to go with it (Nixeus Vue 27" display with 2560x1440 pixels). My problem is thus: While everything that your average Joe does on a computer works fine, I am unable to get to my BIOS (Dual UEFI BIOS on a Gigabyte Z77X UP5 TH Mobo) because my screen won't display it.
While my screen was on backorder I borrowed a friend's TV and used that as my monitor and was able to access the BIOS this way (as well as through another 24" monitor - not sure of the resolution but I could find out).
I have tried connecting my monitor via the Dual-link DVI cable that came with the monitor as well as: an HDMI cable, a single-link DVI cable, and a DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter that was then used in conjunction with the single-link DVI cable, none of which work. I have also tried setting the resolution of the display to 1080p before rebooting, but this didn't help either. I haven't tried VGA because A) I don't have access to any VGA cables and B) my graphics card doesn't have a VGA out port. My Mobo does have a VGA out port, but to use that either need to A) remove my graphics card (something which is too much of a hassle to do every time I want to get access to my BIOS) or B) get to my BIOS to tell it to default to the integrated graphics (Intel HD 4000), but here I run into a catch-22 situation.
So I may be able to get to my BIOS without getting a different monitor (by using the integrated graphics), but I'd like to find a more practical solution.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
