Not really... but here are some helpful tips that I've learn over the past four-five years of playing Source/GO. And some nice videos... enjoy!
1. Get a custom CFG, I can not stress this enough. You will hardly be able to reg half of your shots if you do not fix up your CFG file.
Here is a CFG that I got from one of Dynamics old players, I modded it a bit but here is the vanilla one that I got a few months back https://dl.dropbox.com/u/33992096/autoexec.cfg
2. Crosshair, you need to make one that suits you, some colors are better than others but it always depends on the person. So mess around till you find one you like.
3. Sensitivity, very helpful if it is all the way for quick reactions/flick shots. Takes some time to get used to be it is worth it.
4. Don't think about your score. Believe it or not you will find yourself doing better if you do not stress over you 0-4 score
A commonly asked question is: "What is a scrim"
A scrim is a 5v5 with two different teams. First to 16 wins, and you play 15 rounds first half, and however many it takes for a team to reach 16 in the second half.
A pug is a pick up game or a 10 man. You get 10 players into a server and then you have captains pick teams to do a 5v5. The main focus of these is learning the dynamics of the game but mostly it is to have fun.
One of source's greatest, too bad he does not play anymore.

Some stuff to look for in his videos, how he flashes, angles he uses to get 3+ kills, spraying with m4, some aiming and peaking techniques.
Some competitive map guides...

Video on clutching/game play techniques well worth the time if you wish to improve.
