Tomislav OP Set?

I was cruising the Steam forums for TF2, and one thing some people mentioned was the past Tomislav that was somehow OP.

Could someone explain how the old Tomislav set or something was OP?

The old Tomislav spun up really fast. Far too fast. Hell, the current Minigun is already a tad bit too fast, the Tomislav was just way too fast for pretty much no significant cost.

Yeah, basically it spun up too fast.

Dr. Enforcicle isn't even that bad, just annoying.

A Heavy that can engage his minigun in under half a second is a massive issue.

Well, Natascha has a very, very long history of changes. The one everyone hated most was the death-grip Natascha, which pretty much glued people to the floor with a single hit. This was a problem because merely hitting any enemy at medium range or close meant it was a guaranteed kill. It basically forced the enemy to have the same walk-speed as the Heavy (actually, much worse than the Heavy) while not having the Heavy's raw damage output or health. It was far too one-sided for almost no cost.

Pretty much. Before the nerf, if you bumped into a heavy with a Tomislov, you didn't really have any chance.

at first i thought u were referring to 75% to 40% nerf....and then i checked wiki and found they nerfed it further from 40% to 10%

I don't get it. It wasn't that good at 40% anyhow. The 10% speedup is barely worth it. Now, it's clearly a downgrade to the default.

probably still better than Natascha. they nerfed Nat too bad.

A lot of the problem (as previously stated) was how freakishly fast it got from over the shoulder to shooting compared to the normal minigun. Even with the damage nerf the tomi has, it was outdamaging the default minigun at nearly all ranges by a signifigant margin. So it was either nerf its damage even further (which people would have raged over obviously, they see 'less damage' and think it's not an option anymore frequently) or remove a large chunk of the spinup speed buff.

At 40%, you could jump and begin shooting before you even touched the floor. That is problematic in and of itself. It's just a bad concept. Most of the minigun ideas have been terrible concepts because they're so linearly designed.

peeps are to negativ eon the huo-long heater i honestly love it in mann up and other . the aoe makes up for the ammo burny per sec . but someitmes i do wish u coudl have tyhe default but the look of ur fav gun

I know what you are talking about the Natasha being junk now. It's the only mini gun i ever use Along with the running gloves.

I don't think anybody is negative on the Huo Long Heater. It's almost borderline OP.
