CS:S Custom Config Issues

Hai all, I recently tried using a custom config it threw everything out of wack. I deleted all the files in the config folder and disabled Steam Cloud but it's still doing what it did when I had the custom config.

I'm unable to use my mouse or keyboard to do anything in game. It also has this annoying HUD thingy (not sure what to call it). I've looked everywhere and can't find any fix. I've uninstalled and re-installed CS:S too. Anyone have any ideas?

Oh by the way I play on a Mac, don't be hatin'.

Here's a Screenshot of the HUD:

I'm getting a little desperate. I'm going through CS:S withdrawals :/

Create a new autoexec but only add the line

echo lol

Just a shot in the dark, in my mind this should use all default settings except this line, which just adds lol in the console when your game starts up.

Right click on CSS on steam and click properties. Then go on startup and add dxlevel 9.1

Config might have set the dxlevel to 8.1 which makes the hud a lower resolution.

It's not an issue with the graphics as much as it's an issue with a giant colorful fps monitor in the middle of my screen. Plus no ability to move my mouse or type.

Well Muffs, that got rid of the weird HUD and the inability to type but I can't rotate with my mouse :s

That thing in the middle of your screen was net_graph, just type net_graph 0 to get rid of it or net_graph 1/2/3

Change

m_rawinput "1" to 0

and under the sens section try adding // infront of every line. Might be a setting that doesn't work well with you.

Oh n/m you already got rid of the HUD.

I actually don't remember which config it is. I tried the one muffs posted before and I had the same issue with the mouse.

That's because my config doesn't have too many mouse settings if any. Use my config though and just add in what ever you need to fix your mouse.

Why do you pass off a professional CS:S player's config as your own?

At least give credit when credit is due.
