Help?

So i tried launching Counter Strike yesterday, and this came up:

SteamStartup()failed: SteamStartup(0xf,0x003cdfE0) failed with 1 error:
failed to take master pipe connection lock

What does this mean? I cant find anything on it, or what to do about it.. I tried deleting the local content and re-downloading, but that didn't work. thanks in advance! :facewall:

From what I can locate about this. ending the gameoverlayui.exe process, closing steam and reopening steam should fix it.

Usually when i get of any kind, i just restart my computer, and if it happens again, i Reinstall, and AGAIN then i call tech support ^^

Before even restarting your computer just try restarting Steam.

Usually its an anti-virus program for me, like COMODO which blocks stuff randomly, specially after an install, download, and or update. Hasn't happened lately though.
