All is fair in love and war. And DoD is love? war? If you want to prone with sniper, prone with thompson, rush with K98, or Rambo with MG, its all up to you. The fact that people complain (as they have the right to) is evidence that you are being effective.

The fact that you felt the need to take a photo at all, speaks volumes towards the rarity of the occasion. Some of you guys are a little bit too obsessed with how I play. Perhaps if you focused more on your own play style rather than mine...well...nuff said.

If you want to get real technical, that photo was taken during a realism match where the only angle of sight on enemies was under the train cars, So i was forced to prone in order to be of any use. Perhaps if the guy who was sitting in the back taking pictures came up to assist me and do his own job in the match, I could have avoided the need to prone...

No, only on some occasions such as medicing in an open area or reloading should you ever prone with the Thompson. The Thompsons true power is rushing forward and getting as close to the enemy as you can, that is kinda why they gave you the ability to punch too with it.

If we are all talking about what class not to prone with it would have to be the Rocket. Nuff said their.

Usually I'd take any opportunity to give Blue a bad time, but I do remember this exact map/match/round (YSD has good memory) and he's right--that map has a long tunnel around that bend where the Allies always park a rifle looking down it to destroy people and the only hope to not be destroyed is to:
A) Crawl up the tunnel and look under the railroad cars, OR
B) Go around the outside of the building and come in one of the doorways where there are about three BARs covering every entrance.

And yeah, it was realism, so one shot with that Garand and he'd have been dead.

I believe you are sharp enough to have understood my point, but I will restate anyway. Doing anything other than taking pictures would have been more helpful to the team I was on. I also don't recall you being a part of the last realism campaign, Brain, so how you could have known the exact circumstances during that match is beyond me.

If you want to critique how I play in regards to the OP's thread, feel free, but do it directly. Otherwise, there is no need for a further comment.

Everyone is invited, even pubbers. Everyone mentioned in this thread has to play in order to be considered greatest, bestest sniper in the wuuuurrlldd. We play orange maps one evening, sniper rifles only. Winner takes all and we can close this thread.

Unless I am missing something I think Brain was merely saying that the picture is not one of you sniping from a prone position, but rather using a K98 from the prone position.
