Would like to ask the community.

If some one could build me the best Workstation they, on-line. Preferably shippable to UK.

It must have a dual cpu motherboard. With 2 Xeon 5600 series (6 cores each) processors.
At least 16gb of Ram.
and at least 1g video card, preferably with 2g and compatible with at least 3 screens.

I need to see if some one build a better one than that I have one so far.
(I designed one with one processor, but i need dual)

At least one SSD for the OS.

In advance thank you

why exactly do you need dual xeon cpu's for a home machine? what is this rig going to be used for? if its a server machine you don't need a video card (The only reason I see you needing dual xeons is for a server machine) and you DEFINITELY dont need 3 screens on a server.

I use my current workstation for Editing really big photos, graphics and really big 3D projects

And the faster the render time the more work I get done.

And when I leave 3D rendering, I play games.

+ ill be hosting a database for my company on it, so clients can access what they need fast.

You sir need a server. You're going to be hard pressed to build a dual socket motherboard "desktop" without spending as much as a used server. Get out your credit card, head to ebay, and keep an eye out for some HP G6/G7 servers. Expect to pay between 500-1000 for a good used one.

I just noticed the part about games. Here's the thing. If you're going to be hosting a database for your company then you need a real server. Real servers come with warranties and guarantees and such. You don't want to be liable for building your own and then having to support hardware failures. What you need to do is buy a server for the database/rendering and then buy a separate box for gaming.

EDIT: Man I'm bored today. So for the lols I priced out just a motherboard and the CPUs.

So you're at roughly $1600 with nothing but your mobo/cpus. In the long run buying both a server and a gaming PC will be cheaper.

No I don't need a server, I have one in the office for important crap.

This will be my full time workstation. Which I will use for gaming, graphic design, photo editing and 3D rendering.

What I meant by database. Is it will have all the info of all my clients, my workflow and my big 3d/graphic projects. Clients that are far away will be able to see progress on their project using TortoiseSVN.

The main reason for dual CPU is speed on rendering. Everything else is just like a normal PC.

And yeah i rather have one machine that covers all my needs.

First i did thin of maybe taking a loan and setting up a render farm/server and then rent server space.

But that is just too much hassle atm for me.

Here is one that i've built so far online:

Processor (CPU)
Intel? Xeon? 8-Core E5-2687W (3.1 GHz, 8.00 GT/s, 20M L3 Cache)

Motherboard
ASUS? P9X79 WS - SOCKET 2011, QUAD DDR3, USB 3.0, SATA 6 GB/s

Memory (RAM)
16GB KINGSTON HYPERX GENESIS QUAD-DDR3 1600MHz X.M.P(4 x 4GB KIT)

Graphics Card
2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 Ti - 2 DVI, HDMI, VGA - 3D (Special Offer)

Memory - 1st Hard Disk
120GB KINGSTON V+200 SSD, SATA 6 Gb (535MB/R, 460MB/W)

2nd Hard Disk
1TB WD CAVIAR GREEN WD10EARX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE

But I would love to see if it is possible to do same but with 2 cpu's

Well, you could go with one of these for dual cpu:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188119&name=Intel-Motherboards
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131817&name=Intel-Motherboards

EVGA allows for more ram which is nice. However, none of the xeon lga 2011 cpus can be overclocked. This makes it almost a benefit to go with the older evga sr-2 lga 1366:

and 2 of these:

Budget wise, it is obvious which one is the better option. It only is able to support 48gb of ram which may be fine though.

If price isn't a factor, than 2 of the 8 core lga 2011 xeons at $2k a piece is probably your best route for ultimate speed.

For SSD, that is not the greatest option by any means. I would get a 256gb at least and look at the samsung 830, crucial m4, or ocz vertex 4. The kingstone hyperx 3k 240gb is also a decent option which seems to have avoided most of the sandforce reliability issues.

For gpu, 560 ti is old. Definitely look at the new 6xx series such as the 660 Ti or 670. However, AMD 7950 is another strong option.

Caviar green is also slower than a 7200rpm drive, so consider the faster black or a samsung spinpoint.

I would weight out what you really need server>workstation vs workstation>server. If you need more of a server, go with a supermicro board. If not go with an asus WS board. STAY AWAY FROM THE SRX board. lol.dead srs.

Ah when I heard database I thought you meant something like a SQL database or something similar. As far as getting people to help it would be HUGELY beneficial to give a budget. I can build you a massive 2 CPU build but if you don't want to spend 5k then it's probably not going to be good for you.
