Went out to Atlanta Motorsports Park and drove an Audi R8 vs a ferrari california, two gallardo's and a 911 turbo. The camaro in front of me was the pace car with a professional driver for the Grand-am series. This is my first time driving at this track and a R8 so the first lap is slow. I had to get comfortable with the car and track. Lap two I started pushing, lap three I went all out.

The r8 was fantastic to drive but it was down on power compared to the other cars... even the camaro.

Enjoy!

If you want to do this go to http://thextremexperience.com/ and see when they come to your town. I highly recommend it.

I would kill someone to be able to take my s4 on a race track. I would kill my own mother to be able to take an r8 onto a race track.
You, my good sir, have just earned my respect.

I am guessing this is only a South US thing ha. I am up here in the North East, I have Raceway Park, Dover and the Poconos.

You should take the s4 to the track they are great track day cars. Many tracks around the country open to the public for track days. You should look into it. In Georgia we have soo many options: Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motorsports Park, Roebling Road, Skip barber and I am sure their are more. I have taken my 350z a few times and it was an absolute BLAST!

They are a fairly new company, but I assume there are competitors out there. I would check around you might be surprised at what you find.

oh man a 911 turbo and Audi R8, wanna trade lives?

Well, as cool as they are they were the B+ cars as far as demand. They had a new Gallardo Superlagerra in black, a brand new red gallardo, a ferrari california, the 997 911 Turbo, and my audi r8 (v8 not v10) which was wrapped in metallic chrome. But the AWD system and overall package is just simply amazing. i am glad I picked it.

I'm in New Jersey. Not too many options to do with my car except pocono raceway, and the english town 1/4 mile. :sad face:

There's a track in dover?

The closest thing to this in Portland, Oregon is PIR.

Though I think you have to bring your own car, so its not as cool as what you were able to do.

I mean, unless you own an R8 of your own....

No I have a 350z. I do take it to track days though. However, the audi r8 was a peach to drive!
