Pics: Nazi-controlled Poland 1939-40

[Silent Drifter]

These pictures were taken by Hitler's personal photographer, Hugo Jaeger. Hugo, because of his position in the Third Reich, was one of the few to use a color camera during the war. I always enjoy finding pictures like these and it still boggles my mind that something of this magnitude ever happened. Time Life has some great collections of photos from WW2.. I posted some of the London Blitz in Color about a year ago.
