Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB On Sale - Newegg

I have been looking into upgrading my GPU situation for the past week or so. I currently have a single 7850. I was considering either crossfiring my 7850 or purchasing a 7970/680.

I decided I would buy a new card and sell my 7850, that way I could crossfire the new card in the future and create a more permanent GPU solution for years to come.

I have been watching 7970's on Newegg and just came across this:

It appears that this 7970 is 30 dollars off automatically and 20 dollars off after rebates. Not to mention, it comes with three free games and a 20 percent coupon on a game I plan to purchase.

I figured I would post this for anyone else who may be interested. Any thoughts on this card or sale? I'll be purchasing it tonight.

That is still expensive tho. I'm running 1 7850 and thinking about xfiring it! =)

Compared to the $550 these cards were at launch, not bad at all. And for the performance relative to nvidia, that is amazingly priced. And the additional gig of vram and larger memory bus are good for higher resolutions or additional goodies over the 7850 (assuming you have the 2gb model). That and the problems associated with dual card setups favor single higher performing cards.
