Ventrilo: Huge lag spike and disconnect when pushing PTT.

Hi there,

This only started happening today and is a really wired problem I have never experienced before. The thing is, I can join the Vent server, hop around the channels and hear other people talk. But as soon as I press my Push-To-Talk button, I have a huge lag spike and get disconnected. There are no other problems until I speak on server. The lag spike is only in vent and nothing else is affected. The only noticeable change in my computer recently is ESET Anti-Virus got updated to a newer version.

I have made sure exceptions are made in the firewall for vent. I have uninstalled and reinstalled vent. I have run it as admin. But the problem is still there.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz @ ~3.9HGz
Mobo: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
RAM: 8GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 470

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Check to see if "Play Key Clicks" is turned off. I would also reboot your router/modem and untangle any ethernet cables.

Thanks fps! Restarting the router did the trick, I do tend to forget things like the simple "turn if off and back on again" method and jump into other stuff
