So my dad is wanting to upgrade his laptop. Only big issue - he wants a lighter version of what he has right now (Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4056). His currently laptop is great. If he can get something under 5 lbs, then he will go for it. However, It must have more than 2gb of memory. He was talking bout the Microsoft Surface tablets, but I have yet to see em or touch em, so I wasnt sure bout it. Also he checked out the iPads, but those are mostly for entertainment & you cant use Office on it. So therefore netbooks are out of the question (due to memory limit).
Price range is up to $600 (however hes hoping to find something for round $400 if possible).
