Hey gamers, I'm trying to raise eGO's interest for this game, so that Council can consider adding support for it! This is a halflife 2 modification, and is absolutely free (if you own a Source game, like CSS, DODS, TF2). ​

Overall though, I am impressed with the quality of work that they put into this game. I never felt that that generation got enough attention in the area of video games. Most WWI games have been air-based.

Just because the setting is different, it doesn't mean they're not comparable. I find that DOD is too static, and most maps are meh. In WWI Source, you get to go in trenches, shoot artillery at other trenches, throw gas in trenches, fight in the no man zone. If you want a real rush, you should try out WWI: S.

Don't get me wrong though, because I love DOD! I would play it over WWI anytime, but just because DOD has a larger community and server numbers.

Is it active? I don't DL many HL2 mods anymore because they're either dead or have few servers that are usually really laggy and hosted in russia or some crap.

Hopefully they're all empty because it is 12:30PM on a Tuesday.. I'm happy to see that most are hosted in the USA though. Yay no russians with cracked steam accounts and pings of 500.

It looks pretty cool though. I may have played a beta of this a loooong time ago.

It's actually pretty sad. The media has been hyping up and cashing in on WW2 ever since it ended. As a result, the majority of people don't know nearly as much about WW1 as they do WW2.

You dont need half life, you need any source game! And if you don't have atleast one Source game, then you're not from this earth my friend. xD
