Using the amount of money you start out with to say that argument isn't valid is about as much a logical fallacy as the next person to try to argue against eGO policy against swearing because of the rating of a game even if those ratings don't apply to online play.

Except start money is a valid argument. One of the drawbacks of the m249 is supposed to be its cost. Under normal circumstances, it will take about 3 winning rounds without spending any money for just 1 person to get a para. The other drawbacks come with reload time and recoil, which after an update a few months ago made the recoil extremely manageable while also making it a 1 hit headshot. With 16k buy and the update making it the powerful gun it is now, all anyone really has to deal with is its long reload time. I personally don't have too much of a problem with it anymore, as I don't have an issue with outshooting most of the people who use a para now-a-days, but having unlimited money does change the balance and is a logical argument.

I also don't necessarily agree that things should be immediately dropboxed instead of seeing what support can be gathered first through division discussion. This way, you can gather the opinions of those who play the server regularly.

A couple of disclaimers before I give my 2 cents

1."this is better in the Dropbox" I disagree it's likely more useful to leadership to see the amount of people who want a change rather than just the opinion of one person

Now to return to topic, I believe paras cause the map to become unbalanced for counter terrorists. The cts need only to cover the 4 choke points with a para and victory for terrorists becomes an uphill battle at best. A restriction to two paras will make guessing a good rush 50 50

I think this seriously should be a topic for the drop box,and not something to cause problems in the forums since clearly you aren't going to find many people who will agree with a ludicrous idea of restricting a gun that is part of the game. As Immortal Technique stated before, this is a debat. If everybody is for the restriction of the Machine Gun, they'll concider it. Drop Box is mostly for suggestions, problems, etc. that don't need to be supported by opinions. And in this case, it has to be supported by opinions. The more, the better and the bigger the chances will be of succes. This is a good place to post this, since it could effect us all.

this debate brings up a thought for me... and not to hijack the original thread, but this is one of those types of thing that I agree shouldn't be shipped off to the drop box... debate is good... also what about petition type of system...

Lets take this Para debate... if you could get 90% of the ego community to sign the petition to restrict the PARA then it goes to council for final choice. Just a thought

I understand the fact this "problem" has always been in the server and all of the players have to deal with it. Many of the active players in the server don't belong into eGO and they agree with me. I don't know should their opinion matter or not but it matters to me and I want to make the server better for the active and new players as well no matter do they belong into eGO or not.

The rules in the server clearly states to complete objective, which is sometimes "impossible" because players aren't capable to work as a team. Blindly Standing still and "aiming" one spot 100 rounds without need to reload is the problem. Knowing you will be "sprayed" till death when trying to desperately complete the objective yourself doesn't sound tempting.

Our Dust2 server is ranked in the top 10 in the world and often #1 in the USA. We have no plans to change anything on this already very successful server.
