Razer Game Booster

[Pzycho]

I just thought I should let everyone know, that Razer Game Booster is now Open Beta. Click Here to go to website for it. Razer Game Booster makes games run faster by shutting down unneeded processes. I have used it since I got a beta invite for it after i signed up.

I am going to try it out to see what it does.

I can see this being a minor inconvenience, unless there is a way where you can exclude programs from being closed by the program. I know someone said they had this and it had closed their Vent/Skype/Mumble, whatever it was we were using and other things.

You just have to configure what you don't want it to close it also gives you a list of other processes that you can close it just doesn't understand minecraft's

I have a lot in common with this program

Yep. I found out that I was this person, and I found a way for it to prevent it from doing that.

Ok, so all razer did was buy IoBit's "Game Booster" and change the colour of the logo and programs colour scheme. It's the same damn software but branded as razer.

[Pzycho]

i went to IoBits webpage and they advertise Razer Game Booster. http://www.iobit.com/

its quite possible that it also wasn't a buyout but a partnership. Who knows.

It's got a few people on the IoBits' forum a bit upset that they had Game Booster available for like $5 originally, switched to a free model, and then have now gone back to $$$ for it.

For me it's fairly worthless though, I regularly make use of msconfig to pick and choose what I want to run on start up, and because of that very little clutter is running behind the scene. I especially love that whenever iTunes updates it thinks its gotten a green flag to run its updating software on start up again though, that gets old real fast...

I think I heard somewhere that they were working together with someone

Read the rest. Ever heard of Task Manager?

[D3RP MCHERP]

Anyone have evidence of this actually speeding up games?

I don't have evidence, because if i use it or not it will not effect my computer
