so i bought cs go on the free week end...and I loved it its like they answered everything i wanted fixed from CSS and even added some stuff, it plays smooth, hit boxes are good, got a few new weapons, old weapons got a makeover, everything awesome..except the awp... seriously? whys it exist? it seems so out of place in this game, its like "hey this games about skill and being tactical...or you can just use an awp then its just about hitting the enemy anywhere".

I was fairly certain i wouldnt see this gun again or at the very least it would be balanced somehow

really i dont get why games have 50 cal rifles and such in any multiplayer game because they never really work out, their either a) to damn powerful and are one hit kill guns that just anger people and unbalances the game Or b) they exist and they are balanced in a multiplayer sence but all reality is basically sticken from it because well its a damn 50 cal rifle your not gonna walk away from a hit

The awp is substantially harder to use in GO than it is to use in previous versions. It takes a lot more practice and patience to get used to it in GO and more often than not, you will find yourself outsniped by an assault rifle if you rush your shots and miss even just 1 time. The sniper is balanced by its high cost, abysmal rate of fire, poor close-quarters performance, and the increased skill required to use it properly.

Also, it fires a .338 lapua magnum, not a .50 BMG. The .50 is not the only round that is going to kill you in 1 hit if it hits you in the chest. Most games let you survive a hit to the leg to help balance that out, even though realistically, you would probably be missing a leg afterwards.
