Congratulations! I marched at Ardmore High School in Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma marching band. I loved marching, especially with 264 people at the university. What a sound! I was also Band Captain in high school. Nice going!

That's great! I'm an active high school reedman in my high school. In marching I'm the saxophone's section leader, founder/directer/lead alto for my newly founded sax quartet (just formed last week! w00t!!!), lead pit musician (clarinet, saxes, and flute [kind of....] ftw! ^_^), and the so called "puppet master" cause I'm good at persuading people apparently XD

Everyone in band is telling me to try out for drum major...but it's a political role in my band =/ I'm not sure whether I should really go for it or not. My section needs me (the band is slowly dying T_T) and the ones that have the most chance at getting it are going to use the one's parents in the band parents (booster's) to get their way....

Ahhhh I'm sorry...I needed to get that out somewhere ^_^' sorry it was in this thread....but anyway....AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!111!1111

Btw...I don't want to major in music and fine arts ^_^' It's really awesome to know that there are other band people in the eGO =D

Marching band is the best. I'm from Texas where the big boys march . I will add that a few bands from Oklahoma and Indiana knew how to hold there ground, but we all know whose boss. And Saxophone is the way to go.

I tried Music in college but it wasn't really for me. Cept the Jazz band was awesome ill prolly stick with it.

Yeah, my senior years gunna be pretty busy, but i think it will totally be worth it.
@ King of Noobs ... Dude, you definetly need to do it, especially if you are already the saxaphone "leader". It's not that hard of a position, just know your music haha...and how to march lawlz.
Hey, that's neat that you're majoring in fine arts, i'm pretty active in that section, i have just finished with my last play at school. Called "No Exit", maybe you have read the play or seen it....whatever. haha.

Did you go to A & M? Cuz they have an AMAZING marching band... in fact my C/Calculus teacher was the Drum Major of A & M... it's pretty sweet.
