Game Reviews with Dutchoper72:
Zombie Driver HD

Have you ever wondered what would happen if Twisted Metal and zombies collided? Probably rotten arms and giblets all over your windshield, and well...that's basically what Zombie Driver HD is, more or less.

Zombie Driver HD is similar to the original Zombie Driver game, but the HD version makes it even better. With more levels, more vehicles, and environmental changes in weather, you get to experience a whole new level of gory, vehicular zombieslaughter in glorious high definition.

The object of the game is to drive around and help the military. That means running zombie roadblocks and saving people from vicious zombie jaws - mostly by clearing the area of zombies. And how do you kill zombies you say? You not only have a hardy front bumper, you have a rear bumper, rail guns, chain guns, flamethrowers and heck even a zombie crushing tank later on.

The game modes add some variation to this top-down arcade style game. You can run through a standard Campaign, survive in Slaughter as you try to beat your high score, or get your race on with Blood Race where you kill other racers and zombies while trying to finish first in laps. Race mode is a bit like Death Rally...but with zombies.

If you like killing zombies, killing zombies with cars and arcade zombie killing, this is the game for you.

Zombie Driver HD is on sale for $2.50 right now on Steam but if you own Zombie Driver there's an owner's discount. If you buy the HD version you also unlock the Crash Course Van from Left 4 Dead to use in Slaughter Mode and Blood Race.

It looks okay, but I'd say it will get boring very quickly. But then again, for $2.50 it's probably worth it, haha.

I added it to my cart and did not see an owner's discount for owning the original. When do they factor it in?

Very fun game, it is worth the $2.50 for some entertainment. Running over zombies with nitro doesn't get old.

hmm that might have been a limited time only, sorry about that i did not see an expiration date anywhere.

I've only got the original, non-HD version, and my opinion of that is: its not super amazing, but it IS quite fun and it did keep me entertained for a good 10-20 hours last year. Though, that was mainly for hunting achievements. I didn't get them all; I eventually got bored, but it was amusing. I would say buy it if you're bored, but its not something I'd go out of my way to get. (Good thing steam lives in my room :P)
