TF2 on Windows 8

I did not say its not stable, I just don't like the layout, ill keep Win 7 on my gamer but for 39.99 for Windows 8 Pro ill try it on my laptop. And still give my sister the free copy of Win 8 I have. But ill wait tell she comes over for Christmas with the PC so I can set it up.

How is file sharing and joining Multiple Os domains/home groups same as Win 7 or better?

Honestly, I've used it on a single domain and a single homegroup. As far as attaching to multiple, I'm not sure. It works just fine on our domain at work.

A laptop is a good start to trying it out. It's on my laptop and my media rig only right now and I'll probably keep it that way.

I've been running around with Windows 8 since Release Preview, and now have a full version that came with my Alienware when I bought it recently. I have no issue with Windows 8, and actually find performance to be better, considering it doesn't run as many background processes it seems.

The issue that you may have with games is anything that isn't recent, and it has to do with the fact that .Net Framework is built into the system, making it impossible for the games to find the install of the files. The other issues are due to just that, things being more integrated rather than requiring separate downloads now.

Windows 7 is still going to be supported, so you don't have to go out and upgrade, but I do recommend you do. Look past the fact that it's made more for touch screens and stuff and just give it a chance. I actually almost never open Metro UI (start menu) unless I'm checking my email in the app. I have everything pinned to the taskbar or icons on my desktop. No real change, if you think about it.

Its on my laptop now its really not that bad, I even think its faster in most areas, on a touch screen it would be really nice, On a side note my main Hdd decided to crash yesterday on my gamer.I luckily had a 1tb lying around so I installed Win 7 then used WD true image to clown the drive :P
