Anyone else looking forward to this game? My brother and I recently purchased a PS3 together for the sole purpose to get MGS4 (We also got Ratchet and Clank, but that's just to pass the time until the big day comes by, which is also a very good game but I don't think I'll even turn that game on once I get my paws on MGS4).

If you ask me, with the release of MGS4 (along with a few more PS3 exclusive releases this year (Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe)) the PS3 might have a chance of outselling the Xbox 360 in total sales by next year. It's only 5 million units behind after all and already ahead in sales in Europe and Japan.

I'm all giddy over this game, mainly because of this scene (Screens are huge, so click the links if you want to see them):

I'm not getting a PS3 right now because when MGS4 is released a bundle with a 80gb HD the game and rumble controller will be sold for about 499$ or so I heard.
 
Dude a battle of Metal Gears?!

Anyways, Metal Gear has always been one of the best games I've ever played in my opinion.

The storyline is always sweet, the gameplay is awesome, the characters are awesome and the gaurds, the gaurds are plain stupid and fun to fool around with. ^^

The only thing I prefer Xbox 360 over PS3 is that 360 uses DL DVD so it's much cheaper to install a modchip and play copied games =D
 
lmao.....i agree with Lekk^^ (as always...)
i looked for modchips for the ps3...and this time they wont make any....so i would take the 360....
 
the only thing i probably like about MGS is the multiplayer. i loved the one on Subsistance.

OMG! just got the latest edition of gameinformer and Guitar Hero 4 was on the front cover. For all you Guitar hero enthusiast it lookings amazing how much you can customize jsut about everything about your character and guitar. There's also this multiplayer option called "Studio Recording" where you and some other ppl can just jam or play scales. =D Sounds sweeeet. Hope that comes out for PC.
 
Anyone in here getting into the beta testing of the multiplayer?
 
Never liked MGS as much as I like SC :D I own an Xbox, so that might be a reason. Another is that I played MGS for the first time when I was a really small kid and it scared the heck out of me... lol
 
I dont have a ps3 so i cant play this game, i have to buy one unfortunately. I can buy one now but i want to wait for the ones bundled with the dualshock 3 controller. *sigh* If only the Xbox 360 wasnt $50 cheaper. :( :( :(
