A trend i have noticed - a bad one

Hello everyone,
I write this because something I saw in the servers, there are lots of people that call themselves in “historical” names that are offensive and racist too.
Names like “True nazi” and “adolf hitler” (no capital in purpose). Names like that are very offensive to my opinion, I don’t see how you “eGO”’s don’t get it???!!!
Lets me tell a story: the truth is that my mother’ grandparents were slaughtered in Germany in WW2, my grandmother was one of the “almost one hand counted” survivors of this war on Jewish people.
For god’s sake can’t you see its offensive? It is racism in its lower form!
Please help me “crushing” this phenomena!

I could think of a dozen more names more racist and offending then adolf hitler. Why are you offended because he did something horrible near 70 years ago.
i understand where your comming from but to want a ban l names that are world war two related is just stupid in a world war two game.

i can see if the persons name was literally jew killer or something like that but waht your trying to do is jsut silly.

This has already been discussed and decided upon by the higher ups in the eGO community. I am sorry to what has happened to your family members in the past, but historical names are allowed in our servers. If you still feel offended all I can suggest to you is to not play in servers with the names in them. We can not do anything about it.

I am german and I don´t like to se such playernicks too on everywhere´s servers,the question is,
do the ppl want to handle the past in WW2 today and like to see glorification of the real hero´s during that time ( e.g. Stauffenberg...),or
do they want to ignore the past and accept,that ppl like to identify themself with NAZI´s out of that time,course they find those ppl in a wierd sort "cool" and wanna be like them today,when they play DoD and wear their former names as nicks .....really strange

I could imagine that, if their is a player who calls himself today "OsamaBinLaden is a true hero" this might would have consequences.......same goes for ppl who wear nicks like " I hate NI.G.AS".......well he gets a ban...but ppl ,who wear Hitler as name,who hated jews and killed millions......get no ban.........strange this is nowadays imo!!

This is NOT your job! You're not an admin, so please don't get involved with admin business. Council has ruled on this subject! They've ruled any historical name reference is OK.
My family too, has suffered in WW2, a large part of my family was in the Dutch resistance and got killed for it. If you're offended by those names, I guess you never play Axis side either?

Also, there is a line to cross. Names like: 'Hitler, great guy' are a big No-No. Tags like -=SS=- are OK, however. Names like 'true nazi' would be asked to change by me too.

I understand how angry you are over this Darth and i know you lost some of your family to this, but this game is based on the nazis and hitler...
