Left for Dead 1 or 2?

[dimkapo]

I've heard nothing but good things about the first game but heard some not so great things about the second but I want to know what your opinions are?

I also want to play the one with the most players online so i'm not stuck there playing by myself all the time

I'm fairly certain the free DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 includes most, if not all of the campaigns from Left 4 Dead 1. I'm pretty sure Left 4 Dead 2 has more players as well. I can't see any reason to buy Left 4 Dead 1 nowadays.

I can't argue with that kind of reasoning lol. Thanks Garlick!

I used to play both A LOT a couple years back. Had a dedicated team that played on expert only. Like Garlick said, they made all the missions of the first one playable with the second one, but added all the features of the second one. The key feature was melee weapons and some other items. The key to having a ton of fun in this game is to run with people you know. Otherwise it is possible to get jerks who think they are too awesome for teamwork and just run off on their own and you find them 100 meters later dead or getting there. Also, play expert only, once you get comfy with controls, its more fun that way.

Definitely get L4D2. I don't think all the original campaigns are in the second game, but quite a few are

L4D2.

--Lots of people, particularly in the DODS Div, play it on occasion.

All campaigns from 1 & 2are available in 2. Much better deal at this point by far.

[RedDragonKnight]

L4D2 - 16,852 players

L4D - 1,647 players.

gonna have to go with 2, even though 1 was far better imo.

Definately L4D2. L4D2 had some improvements over L4D. God, I need to find a good group of people to play L4D2 with again..

[Cloakedsphere]

Just FYI, L4D2 Also has some of the old maps introduced and revamped. So L4D2.
