For those who missed it Dark Souls 2 was announced at the VGAs. Here is the trailer:

I bought it while deployed thinking My laptop could handle it, no dice. Have to wait until I get back to my lovely gaming rig. I read up a bit on it. Apparently it is super difficult and you will die a lot. But as far as action RPG goes, people are praising it to be one of the best on the market.

Looking forward to this. It does look like a direct sequel to DS, but where in the timeline this will take place is a total mystery. Great game none the less.

My bet is that it takes place before the current game. There are no dragons left in Dark souls other than the Dragon at Ash Lake.
