Hey all, simple question. What is the easiest way to calculate the size of the PSU that a system will need? Been leaving me a bit confused. Thanks in advance for the help.

These like to over estimate what you will need as many times they are taking into account crappy power supplies that can't actually deliver their rated wattage. You can also look at reviews for the cpu and gpu you are looking at such as on anandtech to determine power consumption. Best way though is to probably tell us what you have and we can guide you and give recommendations of a quality unit. Also, what is your budget (and remember, you do not want to go cheap on the component that all other components rely on).
